  • Food & Pharmaceutical
  • Work Shop
  • Clean Room Application
  • Chemical Resistant Coating for Concrete& Steel
  • Petrochemical, Fertilizer plants

APPLICATION

  • Stir well before mixing Part A and Part B and mix in the prescribed ratio.
  • Apply one coat of EPOXY primer on the clean and dry surface.
  • EPOXY COATING should be applied on the surface by brush or roller within 24 hrs. After application of primer coat, it should be allowed to air dry for min. 4 hrs. Preferable in a dust free atmosphere.
  • Apply min. 2 coats with the intercoat interval of 6-8 hrs.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

SURFACE PREPARATION

The long-term durability of the applied Epoxy coating epoxy coating is dependent on the adhesion between sub-base and coating material. It is most important therefore, that the substrate surfaces are correctly prepared prior to application.

  • Before application of the Epoxy coating surface should be free from loose partials, rust, oils, grease or earlier coatings and should be totally dry.
  • New concrete or cementations surface should be placed at least 28 days and have a moisture content of less than 5% before application of Epoxy coating
  • After surface is dry, all repair work like sealing of joints, cracks filling of cavities and crevices should be carried out.

COVERAGE

This product should be applied at the rate of approx. 10-12 sq.mt per kg. As with all coatings, coverage is dependent on the smoothness & porosity of the surface. As a primer, the coverage rate should be 10 sq.mt. per kg.

SURFACE PREPARATION

The substrate must be clean, dry and sound with new concrete cured for at least 28 days. Remove dust, laitance, grease, curing compounds, waxes, foreign particles, disintegrated or soft base materials, and any previously applied coatings. Create a surface profile on concrete by either steel shot blasting or acid etching. Repair cracks and joints with EPOXY CRACK & PATCH mortar. If the concrete surface is not prepared properly, product adhesion will fail and warranties will be voided.

FOR BEST RESULTS

  • For interior use only
  • New Concrete must cure for 28 days
  • DO NOT thin Water base epoxy coating
  • DO NOT use when humidity Exceeds 85%
  • DO NOT allow material to Puddle during application
  • Allow each coat to Dry Tack-Free and clear before Recoating
  • Apply Each Coat Within 24 hours of previous Coat
  • Do NOT APPLY to Structurally Unsound Surfaces.
  • Apply a Test Patch to Ensure Adhesion to Old Paint

MIXING

Avoid mixing and application of this product if the surface temperature is high and humidity is higher than 70% R.H. The temperature of the surface, materials and air in the area of installation all play a role in how the product will apply and cure. Stair part A & B separately and then pour part B in to part A in proper ratio and blend thoroughly for minimum for 2-3 minutes with a spiral mixing blade attached to a low-speed electric drill. Take care not to induce air into the material when mixing. This will cause bubble in the coating when applied.

POT LIFE

At 30˚ C and 50% R.H. the Water base epoxy coating has a useful working time or pot life of 25-30 minutes. Using any product beyond this time will result in variable results and therefore any mixed product beyond the pot life should be discarded.

HIR Epoxy Screed

applied on concrete surface, it gives a high strength flooring & tank lining, capable to withstand extremely high loading, wear and chemical resistance.

FEATURES

  • Forms seamless surface
  • Very high mechanical strength
  • Excellent chemical resistance
  • Hygienic
  • Dust free surface
  • Hard wearing
  • Anti-slip & anti-skid finish

RECOMMENDED USES

  • Epoxy Screed is highly recommended, for use, for factory floor & workshop
  • Automobiles
  • Food & pharmaceuticals
  • Chemical & Engineering
  • Beverages
  • Textile & Pulp-Paper
  • Electronic industries

SURFACE PREPARATION

Successful performance of Epoxy S/L or any other flooring system can achieve only after proper surface preparation. It is the prime requirement that surface must correctly prepared before application.

    • New concrete or cementations surface must be cured for 28 days.
    • Surface must be free from any oils, grease, loose particles, curing aid chemicals, previously applied coating etc…
    • Surface must be fully dry.
    • For old surface all cracks, cavities should be repaired with Epoxy mortar

APPLICATION

PRIMER COAT: Apply one coat of Epoxy primer on properly prepared surface by brush and allow it to dry.

SCREED APPLICATION

First mix the resin part A, thoroughly with slow speed mixer until uniform color is achieved. Then add curing agent part B and mix again with mixer. After that, add filler par C and mix with mixer until a homogeneous, lumps free mass is achieved. Then, place the mixed mortar evenly. Temp down with beam laid across steel screeding rails of specific height for desired thickness and finish with steel trowel to get smooth finish.

TOP COAT

DESCRIPTION

Our epoxy coating based on high performance, high build, thixotropic, chemical resistant epoxy resin base chemical resistant finish.

FEATURES

  • Being smooth, surface it is very easy to clean and to make it dust free.
  • Product is based on high performance epoxy resin & curing agent system. The coating system has excellent overall chemical resistance at ambient temperature.
  • Carefully selected resin & curing agents gives excellent abrasion resistance, good adhesion, easy cleaning
  • System is available in many attractive colors.

USES

Epoxy coating is highly recommended as protective coating mainly on concrete where chemical resistance is required, example;

  • Waste water treatment plant
  • Tanks, silos, floors, dyke walls, in Food & pharmaceuticals Chemical & Engineering, Beverages, Textile & Pulp-Paper industries
  • Textile & Pulp-Paper Industries.

SURFACE PREPARATION

Successful performance of epoxy coating or any other flooring system can achieve only after proper surface preparation. It is the prime requirement that surface must correctly prepared before application.

  • New concrete or cementations surface must be cured for 28 days.
  • Surface must be free from any oils, grease, loose particles, curing aid chemicals, previously applied coating etc…
  • Surface must be fully dry.
  • For old surface, all cracks, cavities should be repaired with EPOXY mortar.
  • This is a very thin topping so cannot level any irregularities of levels of the original sub-base. Therefore, it is most important to make original surface in line & level, before application of Epoxy coating.

APPLICATION

PRIMER COAT

Apply one coat of EPOXY COATING primer on properly prepared surface by brush and allow it to dry.

TOP COAT

First mix the resin part A, thoroughly with slow speed mixer until uniform color is achieved. Then add curing agent part B and mix with mixer until a homogeneous mass is achieved.

Apply by brush or roller on properly primed surface. Apply minimum two coats for best mechanical and chemical resistance properties. Mechanical and chemical resistance properties. Recoating should be done only after 4-5 hours. When the first coat is joust touch dry. In case the first coat is cured hard, surface should be roughened by emery paper. Dust should be removed properly before application of 2nd coat.
